A key part of Scott Van Pelt’s midnight “SportsCenter” is his affinity for sports betting. From his predicted winners against the spread to the occasional “bad beats”, whether or not you bet on sports, it’s always interesting to see what he has in mind for a particular week.

Part of Van Pelt’s “Winners” slate on Friday morning’s edition was a pair of SEC games. First up was Missouri at Georgia: the Tigers were listed at +16.5 against the Bulldogs on the road, and Van Pelt picked them to cover on Saturday.

Another SEC game popped up, and this was Tennessee vs. Kentucky—with the Wildcats showing as a slight -1 against the Volunteers at home. Van Pelt picked the Wildcats to cover at Kroger Field against a team it’s dominated in the series to the tune of 80-25-9.

A bigger fan of wagering may be Van Pelt’s producer, “Stanford” Steve Coughlin, who joined Van Pelt in picking the Wildcats -1 over the Volunteers on Saturday.
