League reveals Coaches All-SEC Teams
Not surprisingly, the 2015 Coaches All-SEC Teams include 10 Alabama players, which leads the way in the conference.
The Crimson Tide, fresh off its second straight SEC title on Saturday, also had a league-best seven first-teamers. According to the SEC, Alabama’s 10 total selections are the most since the Crimson Tide placed 11 and LSU landed 10 on the 2011 All-SEC Coaches’ Football Teams.
Each SEC team had at least one representative on the first team, with the exception of Kentucky, and 12 schools boasted at least two players.
Among the players on this year’s team, nine have made multiple appearances on the teams. That includes Florida’s Vernon Hargreaves III, a first-teamer for a third straight season. Meanwhile, Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott and South Carolina’s Pharoh Cooper both landed first-team laurels for a second consecutive season.
Arkansas’ Hunter Henry, LSU’s Vadal Alexander and Texas A&M’s Myles Garrett were placed on the first team after making the second team a season ago.
Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
The SEC individual award winners will be released on Wednesday, and the SEC All-Freshman Team will be announced on Thursday.
