It was a relatively quiet week in the SEC, as only 9 of the league’s 14 teams were in action in Week 8.

That said, there were some monster performances by individual players who did play, headlined by what Alabama quarterback Bryce Young did to the Tennessee defense in a 52-24 Crimson Tide victory.

On Monday, the SEC recognized the weekend’s top performances with its Player of the Week awards.

Here’s a look at all of the recipients following Week 8:

  • Offensive: Alabama QB Bryce Young — Passed for 371 yards and 2 TDs and added 2 rushing TDs in the victory over Tennessee.
  • Offensive line: Texas A&M OL Kenyon Green — Helped the Aggies rush for 290 yards and not allow a sack in a victory over South Carolina.
  • Offensive line: Mississippi State LT Charlie Cross — Led his team with an 80.6 grade and helped the Bulldogs pile up 524 yards in a win over Vanderbilt.
  • Defensive: Ole Miss LB Will Chance Campbell —  Recorded 10 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in a win over LSU.
  • Defensive line: Ole Miss DL Sam Williams — Recorded a forced fumble and a sack and helped hold LSU to 77 rushing yards in the Rebels’ win.
  • Defensive line: Texas A&M DL Tyree Johnson — Registered 2 sacks for 11 yards in the win against South Carolina.
  • Special teams: Texas A&M PR Ainias Smith – Had a 95-yard punt return for a touchdown and also caught 2 passes for 28 yards in the South Carolina victory.
  • Freshman: Mississippi State WR RaRa Thomas — Had 5 receptions for 52 yards and his first career touchdown in the win over Vanderbilt.
