SEC baseball schedule announced for 2025, 1st season with 16 teams
SEC baseball will be back in action before we know it.
The SEC announced the conference play schedule for 2025 on Thursday. The 2025 season will be the first with league newcomers Oklahoma and Texas.
New teams mean new series. As a 16-team league, the conference is going with a 2/8 model – 2 permanent rivals and 8 rotating opponents. The conference is sticking with division-free standings.
All 16 teams will play 30 conference contests (10 weekend series). Conference play begins the weekend of March 14-16 and wraps May 15-17 (Thursday-Saturday) before the SEC Tournament in Hoover (May 20-25).
Tennessee won the 2024 College World Series, extending the SEC’s streak to 5 consecutive national titles, won by 5 different programs.
