Could defensive end Trevion Williams end up in the SEC? Williams, the No. 34 defensive line prospect in the class of 2022 and the No. 6 player in Mississippi, will reopen his recruitment after having committed to Florida State in June.
“I’m trying to stay close to home. Or if I can get a better offer for what I feel like is best for me to get to the next level,” Williams said, according to the Clarion-Ledger.
That’s potentially good news for Ole Miss, who he has unofficially visited, and Mississippi State, who have both offered the 6-foot-4-and-a-half, 254-pounder. LSU is his most recent offer, with that one from Ed Orgeron and the Tigers coming on Sept. 27. He has also taken an official visit to Auburn.
