Every SEC team's first signee during the Early Signing Period
Some guys drag out sending in their LOIs on National Signing Day, but these certainly didn’t.
The third-ever Early Signing Period was just as entertaining as the first. Players were allowed to start signing their letters of intent at 7 a.m. ET, and many didn’t wait long to get their paperwork submitted.
Here’s a quick look at who was the first player from each SEC school to get his paperwork finalized and officially become a part of his team’s class:

Ooooh! We done gots us anotha 5 star!
5 stars every year
Goo Dawgs Sic them Bears!!!
Fake news? Is this accurate? I thought GatorbaitorU’s first official signee was some 2star Australian Rules football kicker…
Yes, you are correct. The AUS-USA time difference allowed Crawshaw to sign his LOI about 24 hours ago. I know you’re mostly just poking fun that our first guy was a 2 star, but that’s cool with me. We’ll miss the Townsend boys, but I’m happy to have Crawshaw on our team!
I wonder if the “SDS Staff” writing this article was just pulling tweets from 7:00 EST today and considering those as the first signees? If that’s true, then this is really just a list of players who’ve signed LOIs, in the order of which each school’s Twitter account announced them… Not necessarily the order in which the players submitted their paperwork… Which isn’t exactly what the article’s headline suggests.
Mekhail is a huge get and like Jalen Carter seemed to get swept under the rug once he committed. Absolutely love that we got both their signatures. A lot of things need to go our way today.
All expected signees are now in house. So, that is great. Now we need a couple surprises. CJ Stroud??
Rip.
Didn’t want him anyway….
