Clemson may be the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff rankings, but one analyst believes the Tigers would stand no chance against Alabama.

On Sunday, Chris Doering tweeted that although he might vote the undefeated Tigers No. 1 right now, he believes Alabama “would pistol whip them every day of the week.”

Alabama (8-1) climbed to No. 3 in the latest AP Top 25 poll after a 30-16 victory over then-No. 4 LSU on Saturday night. LSU had been ranked No. 2 in the College Football Playoff rankings, behind Clemson. The Crimson Tide were fourth in the CFP rankings, and will almost certainly move up after Saturday’s win.

Clemson (9-0) was No. 3 in the AP Top 25 a week ago, but moved up to No. 1 in this week’s poll after a 23-13 win over Florida State on Saturday. The Tigers will find out if they’re still the No. 1 team in the CFP rankings on Tuesday night.

Plenty of Clemson fans sent responses to Doering’s tweet, and the former Florida receiver had no problems answering some of them.
