SEC Network's Cole Cubelic ranks top offensive lines from Week 2
As he does every week, SEC Network’s Cole Cubelic took to Twitter on Friday to rank his top five offensive lines from the SEC in Week 2. And this week, he acknowledged that there were some tough decisions to make.
“Just an FYI: this the hardest ranking of these groups I’ve done,” Cubelic tweeted. “Felt like all 5 played like the best group of the week at times.”
In the end, Cubelic decided on Georgia as the No. 1 offensive line in the conference from Week 2. The Bulldogs won their home opener against Auburn in impressive fashion, notching a lopsided 27-6 victory. They racked up 442 total yards, including 202 on the ground.
Here were the rest of Cubelic’s Week 2 O-line rankings:
1. Georgia
2. Tennessee
3. Kentucky
4. LSU
5. Alabama
Although Cubelic put Georgia at No. 1, he later acknowledged that it could have gone a different way and he could have put Tennessee in the top spot.
“Easily could have been 1 last week. Solid performance,” Cubelic tweeted of the Vols. “Thought UGA was as good vs better group. Just my thoughts.”
Georgia and Tennessee are now set to face off this week, so expect strong offensive-line play on both sides of the ball. The Bulldogs and Vols are kicking off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday on CBS.

I guarantee I know who he’d pick as the worst O line last week.
It has got to be frustrating as a UK lineman. Your team ran for over 400 yards and somehow still lost.
Right?? They averaged 9+ yards per carry. Crazy.
Honestly, how is it even possible they lost. I mean I know, I watched but I just don’t believe it. No one could have convinced me a team could rush for that much and that well, and lose
Alabama at 5th… what?
Alabama’s pass protection has been the best in the SEC, but the run blocking has been less than ideal so far. I get that TAMU sold out to stop the run, but it also wasnt very impressive against Mizzou.
These are strictly how the teams performed in week 2 and not overall rankings.
Just because he played and now has mic doesn’t mean he is expert. In 2018 or 19 he had Georgia line as best in country and then they underachieved.
I wouldn’t rank LSU in the top 5. They had to block basically air last week.
