With six matchups involving Southeastern Conference teams on the docket, here’s a list of the player to watch in each SEC game for Week 12:
12:00 p.m., South Carolina at Florida, SEC NETWORK
Treon Harris, QB, Florida
The Florida Gators are 2-0 since naming Treon Harris their starting quarterback. Harris’ individual numbers aren’t stupendous, but he’s done enough to help the Gators offense see a consistent output. Facing a struggling South Carolina defense, Harris may see a breakout performance at home.
3:30 p.m., No. 1 Mississippi State at No. 5 Alabama, CBS
Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State
Mississippi State faces its toughest test in SEC West rival Alabama. Heisman hopeful Dak Prescott will be crucial in the Bulldogs saving their undefeated season. Prescott should have a memorable performance, despite facing one of the nation’s best run defenses.
4:00 p.m., Kentucky at Tennessee, SEC NETWORK
Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee
Joshua Dobbs became the first quarterback to record over 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing in school history during Tennessee’s 45-42 overtime win over South Carolina in Week 10. Coming off a bye week, the sophomore looks to continue his success facing a struggling Kentucky defense that’s allowed over 300 rushing yards twice in its four-game losing streak.
7:15 p.m., No. 9 Auburn at No. 15 Georgia, ESPN
Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
Todd Gurley returns from his four-game suspension on Saturday. Despite missing over a month of action, Gurley still ranks ninth among SEC players in rushing yards. His return will be the biggest storyline of a must-win game for both teams.
7:30 p.m., Missouri at No. 24 Texas A&M, SEC NETWORK
Kyle Allen, QB, Texas A&M
Kyle Allen had a breakout performance against Auburn last weekend. The sophomore threw for 277 yards, four touchdowns and an interception on 19-of-29 passing. Allen’s performance made the legend of “Kenny Trill” seem like an afterthought as the Aggies looked impressive against one of the nation’s top teams.
8:00 p.m., No. 17 LSU at Arkansas, ESPN2
Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
Leonard Fournette has enjoyed a stellar freshman campaign. Last week, however, his numbers weren’t quite as memorable. Fournette rushed for 79 yards on 21 attempts, averaging 3.8 yards per carry. The former No. 1 overall prospect should bounce back against Arkansas, despite facing the No. 37 overall rushing defense.
