The current SEC players showcased their supreme talent again this weekend after another exciting slate of college football games. But did the former SEC studs perform at a similar level this past Sunday in the NFL?

SDS has all the latest on how former SEC players did in their fifth week of the 2014 season. Here are the top performances.

QB Peyton Manning
NFL team: Denver Broncos
Former SEC team: Tennessee Volunteers
Week 5 stats: 31-47, 479 passing yards and four touchdowns

More importantly than the big numbers for Manning against the Arizona Cardinals, the former Tennessee Vol quarterback threw for his 500th career touchdown, a truly historic moment for one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL. The Broncos defeated an undefeated Arizona team 41-20.

RB Eddie Lacy
NFL team: Green Bay Packers
Former SEC team: Alabama Crimson Tide
Week 5 stats: 13 carries, 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns

Eddie Lacy’s big game came in front of a national television audience on Thursday Night Football. Lacy powered his way to 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns on an impressive 13 carries. Lacy’s big game helped power a huge victory for the Packers over NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings.

WR Julio Jones
NFL team: Atlanta Falcons
Former SEC team: Alabama Crimson Tide
Week 5 stats: 11 receptions and 105 receiving yards

Julio Jones continues to have a career year in Atlanta. His 11 receptions and 105 receiving yards against the New York Giants was the fourth time this season Jones had either recorded at least 100 receiving yards or a touchdown in a single game. Jones’ big day was not enough, however, as the Falcons lost to the Giants 30-20.

RB Arian Foster
NFL team: Houston Texans
Former SEC team: Tennessee Volunteers
Week 5 stats: 23 carries, 157 rushing yards and two touchdowns

Sunday’s performance from Arian Foster was easily his best of the season. The Houston Texans’ feature back carried the ball 23 times and rushed for 157 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Houston eventually lost the game to its in-state rival Dallas Cowboys, but Foster’s day stood out among most performances in the NFL this weekend.
