SEC play is rolling now, as the college football season is starting to enter conference play. One of the marquee matchups last weeks was between Tennessee and Oklahoma. There were some big-time performances last week, and the conference recognized some of those players on Monday.

Here’s a look at the Week 4 SEC Player of the Week:

There were co-offensive players, as Missouri RB Nate Noel and LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier both had big performances in Week 4. Noel carried the ball 24 times for 199 yards in a 30-27 victory against Vanderbilt. Nussmeier, on the other hand, continued his strong play to the season by throwing for 352 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 34-17 victory against UCLA.

On defense, Arkansas DB TJ Metcalf had a huge day in the Razorbacks’ 24-14 win against Auburn. He has 4 tackles, but also had 2 of the Razorbacks 4 interceptions on the day.

Tennessee was recognized for the Volunteers big win at Oklahoma. Kicker Max Gilbert was 3-of-3 on field goals for the day, helping the Volunteers get the 25-15 win in Norman. He was named the Special Teams Player of the Week, while Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava was named the Freshman of the Week.

He threw for only 194 yards and 1 touchdown, but he was making his first true road start at one of the toughest places to play in college football. Tennessee looked great to start the year but needed a win like that to really put itself on the map.
