Video: SEC's domination vs. The World ends with Blind Side payback
Memphis: Home of great music, great food and, for one Saturday at least, an SEC-beater.
Memphis knocked off Ole Miss in the Blind Side Bowl. (That’s unofficial, of course, but the winner should have received a signed DVD from Blues City NFL player Michael Oher, who starred for the Rebels.)
By the way, Memphis, was that 37-24 win your idea of honoring one of your most famous sons, or payback for him going to school across the border?
Either way, talk about being blindsided … Ole Miss never saw it coming.
Anyway, kudos to the Tigers for ending (temporarily) the SEC’s domination over the World.
The SEC, which went 1-1 Saturday thanks to Mississippi State’s win over La. Tech, had been on quite a roll. It went 2-0 in Week 6, 4-0 in Weeks 4 and 5, and 5-0 in Week 3. (We can’t quite remember what happened in Week 2 and the Google button is temporarily broken.)
Look for the streak to start anew Saturday when Heisman Trophy front-runner Leonard Fournette and No. 5 LSU host Western Kentucky.
