As the number of undefeated teams drops in college football, the debate about strength of schedule intensifies as LSU took over the top spot in the latest simulated BCS rankings as its next two games against Auburn and at Alabama will likely dictate how the season is remembered.

Here are the following changes, according to BCSKnowHow.com about the second simulation: LSU and Alabama swap spots as the Tigers take No. 1, Florida leapfrogs Auburn and Penn State joins the conversation at No. 6.

This ranking is slightly different than the Associated Press poll, for example, as Georgia is ranked No. 10 in the AP poll, and No. 11 according to the simulated BCS. Likewise, Florida is No. 7 in both rankings, while Auburn is No. 9 in the AP poll and No. 8 in the simulated BCS.

One theory about the College Football Playoff is the top four teams will be the SEC champion against the presumably undefeated trio of Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma.

However, the seeding could be an interesting shake out unless the SEC champion is undefeated as there would likely continue to hand-wringing in Clemson about the undefeated national champion being anything but No. 1.
