Former Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen, who transferred from the school on Dec. 10, has found his new home and it’s only an hour and a half away.

A source tells the Houston Chronicle that Allen will be playing for head coach Tom Herman and the Houston Cougars.

Houston went 13-1 this season under Herman while notching an impressive 38-24 win over Florida State in the Peach Bowl.

The Cougars offense averaged 40.4 points per game this season, good for 10th in the FBS, while racking up over 484 yards of offense per game.

As a sophomore with the Aggies, Allen completed just 56.5 percent of his passes, averaging 7.8 yards per attempt while throwing 17 TDs and 7 INTs.
