UNLV is making a change in leadership. After nearly five years on the job, Tony Sanchez is out in Las Vegas.

This news was first reported by Bruce Feldman of The Atheltic.

The school hired the former local high school coach out of Bishop Gorman, where he had turned the school into a national contender. During his time at Bishop Gorman, the program went 85-5 in six seasons.

Unfortunately for UNLV, that level of success never translated to the college level as Sanchez never won more than five games in any season. Sanchez leaves UNLV with a career record of 19-40 as his team is just 3-8 this season.

There are now four FBS head coaching openings across the country as Arkansas, Florida State and Rutgers have also decided to make leadership changes this season.
