There were a couple of interesting games early Saturday as top 10 teams faced difficult situations.

No. 6 Oklahoma trailed late against UCF, but the Sooners eventually took control and prevailed.

In Columbus, Ohio, with ESPN’s “College GameDay” and FOX’s “Big Noon Kickoff” on hand, Ohio State continued its dominance over Penn State with a workmanlike 20-12 victory. Ohio State came in ranked No. 3, while Penn State was No. 7.

Penn State saw its losing streak against the Buckeyes stretch to 7 games as it failed to gain an upper hand in the Big Ten East and the College Football Playoff. No. 2 Michigan still lies ahead for both teams.

Marvin Harrison Jr. caught a pass over the middle to extend Ohio State’s lead with 4:07 remaining.

Ohio State’s Kyle McCord struggled at times, but was 22-for-35 for 286 yards with a touchdown after that Harrison score. Penn State’s Drew Allar had a difficult time, and was 10-for-25 passing for 118 yards as the Nittany Lions were 1-for-16 on 3rd down and 1-for-3 on 4th down attempts.

Neither team could run the ball as they each had less than 80 yards with less than 4 minutes remaining.
