Travis Hunter was the No. 1 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class, so many were surprised when he committed to Jackson State, an FCS program led by Deion Sanders.
There were rumors of a massive NIL deal luring Hunter to Jackson, but both the school and Hunter have repeatedly denied those claims.
On Wednesday, though, Alabama coach Nick Saban went on a rant against the current NIL landscape and called out Jackson State for paying $1 million to land Hunter’s services.
On Thursday morning, Hunter took to Twitter to respond to that claim once again:
I got A mil??But my mom still stay in a 3 bed room house with five kids ?

Sanders has promised a response to Saban’s comments, even going as far as to release a hype video at 2 in the morning on Thursday:
