Troy fan hilariously botches field-goal attempt during promotional event

During Troy home games, students get to attempt a field goal from 45 yards in a “Kick for Cash” contest.

On Wednesday night, during the South Alabama-Troy game, one fan didn’t come anywhere close to earning the cash prize.

As you can see below, he hilariously botched the try, sending the ball nearly straight up into the air:

The best part of the video is the ref making the catch over by the Troy huddle. A Troy player gives the ref props, too.

For this week, the “Kick for the Cash” prize is safe, but hopefully fans in coming weeks can turn in better efforts.
