When it’s come to discussing former Tennessee QB Josh Dobbs as a pro prospect, endless comparisons to former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott were made. Both were dual-threat quarterbacks in the SEC who boosted their stock by performing well in the Senior Bowl and impressing in team interviews.

What happened in this past weekend’s NFL Draft has only led to more comparisons between the two quarterbacks. Like Prescott a year ago, Dobbs was taken at pick No. 135. In another similarity to Prescott being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, Dobbs was selected by a team with an established, veteran starter (Pittsburgh Steelers).

On Monday’s “The Paul Finebaum Show,” college stats for the two No. 135 picks were compared side-by-side.

Twitter was having none of it when the graphic was shared on the show’s official account:

Fortunately for Dobbs, Pittsburgh isn’t basing personnel decisions off of Twitter opinions. The Steelers cut QB Zach Mettenberger, making Dobbs the current backup to Ben Roethlisberger.
