LSU RB Leonard Fournette is on everyone’s Heisman Trophy short list entering the 2016 season.

However, being a preseason favorite doesn’t guarantee an invitation to the ceremony at the end of the year.

CBS Sports recently named five “dark horse” running backs who could be in the Heisman mix by the end of the season.

Two SEC running backs made the list — Tennessee RB Jalen Hurd and Georgia RB Nick Chubb.

Neither Hurd nor Chubb are particularly crazy picks to win the Heisman — Tennessee should have a strong offense and Chubb probably would have been a Heisman finalist last year if he didn’t get hurt.

It’ll be tough for Chubb and Hurd to eclipse Fournette, but not impossible — just ask former Alabama RB (and 2015 Heisman winner) Derrick Henry.
