Tyreek Hill update: Miami-Dade Police department releases body cam footage from incident
Tyreek Hill was briefly detained by police on Sunday morning just outside of Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
Bystander video previously showed Hill laying face-down on the ground and handcuffed on the side of the road. Now, Miami-Dade Police have release body-cam footage from the incident.
The footage includes Miami Dolphins defender Calais Campbell, who was also briefly detained by officers after he stopped to check in on Hill.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, Hill was issued citations for careless driving and for not wearing a seatbelt. Campbell was not given a citation, but was briefly handcuffed for “disobeying a direct order.”
The Miami-Dade Police Department previously announced that one of the officers involved in this situation has been placed on “administrative duties” pending an investigation.
After the Dolphins’ win over the Jaguars on Sunday, Hill spoke briefly about the incident in his postgame press conference.
“I do want to be able to use this platform to say, like, what if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill, bro? Like, worst-case scenario,” Hill said. “I want to be a cop one day (so) I’ve got to stay true to all of that … but obviously, everybody has bad apples in every situation, so I want to be able to use this platform to figure out who I’m going to be.”
Hill was a big part of Miami’s win over Jacksonville on Sunday. He scored on an 80-yard touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa and then made reference to the morning’s events in his post-TD celebration.
Hill and the Dolphins will be on Thursday Night Football this week against the Buffalo Bills.
