With only two weeks remaining in the SEC regular season, each of the 14 teams only has four games left.
That means there aren’t many chances for teams to impress the NCAA Tournament selection committee. Some SEC teams are solidly in the field of 68 teams, while others are on the bubble.
On Sunday, CBS bracketology expert Jerry Palm updated his tourney projections, and as you can see below, he has Kentucky as a No. 1 seed and Alabama as one of his last four teams in the field:
- Kentucky — No. 1 seed (Midwest)
- Tennessee — No. 2 seed (East)
- LSU — No. 3 seed (South)
- Mississippi State — No. 6 (Midwest)
- Ole Miss — No. 8 seed (East)
- Auburn — No. 10 seed (West)
- Florida — No. 10 seed (South)
- Alabama — No. 12 seed (East)
We’ll see what changes with another week of basketball, but for now, it’s safe to say Alabama has some work to do.
