The NET rankings have been updated following the latest round of SEC basketball games.

If you missed any of the action on Tuesday evening, Ole Miss beat Missouri on the road, Georgia beat LSU at home and Florida beat Auburn on the road. Kentucky and Texas A&M were scheduled to play but that game was postponed.

For Wednesday, the big game features Alabama traveling to Arkansas. The Crimson Tide are currently No. 1 in the SEC while the Razorbacks are No. 2 with the chance to close the gap in Fayetteville.

In addition to that game, we have Tennessee at Vanderbilt and South Carolina at Mississippi State.

If you aren’t familiar with the NET rankings, they were designed to be an improved version of the old RPI rankings.

The NET rankings consist of several factors: a team’s winning percentage, average opponent’s winning percentage, average opponent’s opponent’s winning percentage, game results, strength of schedule, game location, scoring margin, net offensive and defensive efficiency, and the quality of wins and losses.
