The Urban Meyer investigation is over, and Ohio State announced on Wednesday night that the head coach had been suspended without pay for the first three games in 2018.

However, Meyer wasn’t the only one who received punishment on Wednesday, as AD Gene Smith was also suspended.

Per a press conference held by the school, Smith has been suspended from Aug. 31 to Sept. 16, which basically coincides with Meyer’s suspension:

Per Mary Jo White, the lead investigator, Meyer and Smith both knew of the 2015 domestic-violence arrest of former WR coach Zach Smith.

Meyer wasn’t fired, nor was Gene Smith, but both will miss a significant portion of the 2018 season for their actions back in 2015.
