‘Head-hunting’ is an aspect of football that no one wants to see.

The rules have been revised as means to dissuade those from leading with the crown of the helmet. Ejections, fines, and suspensions have been labeled as suspensions.

During the SMU/TCU contest, SMU safety Darrion Millines intentionally displayed why ‘head-hunting’ is such a hot-button topic. Here’s the vicious hit he gave to TCU receiver John Diarse:

Millines was thusly ejected for the cheap shot. One has to think a suspension will be in line for the defensive back as well.
