Video: Tennessee player stomps on helmet of Georgia linebacker

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a player stomp an opponent during an SEC game and certainly won’t be the last.

Midway through the first quarter of Saturday’s Georgia-Tennessee matchup in Knoxville, a Tennessee player appears to stomp on the helmet of Georgia linebacker Chuks Amaechi under a pile following a kickoff return.

The player in question with his cleat on Amaechi’s headgear appears to be Tennessee freshman special teamer John Kelly. Amaechi grabbed the bottom of Kelly’s jersey and yanked, prompting the stomp:

No penalty was called on the play, but it’s standard procedure for the league office to review all film after games.
