The 2017-18 college basketball season is officially over, and the Villanova Wildcats have been crowned the national champions.

Nova dominated the Michigan Wolverines 79-62, and if you hadn’t heard of the Wildcats’ sixth man Donte DiVincenzo, you certainly have now. Not only did he provide the spark off the bench in the first half, but he turned in an absolute stellar performance. He finished with 31 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Michigan jumped out to a quick lead in the first half; however, DiVincenzo brought the Wildcats back with 18 first-half points. Villanova led 37-28 at halftime and never looked back.

DiVincenzo’s first half highlights were spectacular:

The Wildcats won all six tournament games by double-digits, and finished the season leading the nation in scoring. Head coach Jay Wright has the Wildcats’ program rolling.

Monday night’s win became Villanova’s third national championship.
