With two weeks of buildup, and a primetime audience, there will be no shortage of hype around this week’s Alabama-LSU game.

But watching this hype video below may be just enough to send you over the edge leading up to the 8 p.m. ET kickoff at Tiger Stadium on CBS.

With the release of the first College Football Playoff rankings, which ranked Alabama at No. 1, and LSU at No. 3, the magnitude of this game seems to grow by the day.

That ranking solidified the teams as national title contenders not unlike the “Game of the Century” in 2011 when No. 1 met No. 2. That was the last LSU victory before Alabama started a seven-game winning streak in the rivalry, including the national championship rematch.

There was also No. 2 LSU vs. No. 4 Alabama in 2015. By and large, the games are fairly close, including the past two under LSU coach Ed Orgeron.

Alabama can clinch a spot in the SEC championship game with a win. The Tigers would be in control of the SEC West if they win.
