Gus Malzahn now has another title to add to his growing list of accomplishments.

The Auburn coach isn’t just the defending SEC West champion, he is now the defending Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl “Closest to the Pin” Challenge champion following the contest held on Monday. Malzahn beat out Dan Mullen and Matt Luke out of the SEC plus several ACC coaches and Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly for the award.

“Some of these guys have for-real golf swings. It’s always fun to get out here with these guys,” Malzahn said according to a Chick-fil-A press release. “I hope it’s a good sign for the main competition tomorrow. I’ve played seven rounds of golf since last July, so we’ll see what happens.”

After winning the event, Malzahn receives $5,000 to donate to the Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club.

Here are the final results from the contest:

The coaches will now compete with several others on Tuesday for a round of tournament golf with $650,000 on the line — which will also go to a charity of the winner’s choice. Nick Saban and Kirby Smart will be participating in the round of tournament golf.
