UCF QB McKenzie Milton saw his junior season come to a horrifying end in Week 13 against USF, going down with a severe knee injury that required emergency surgery.

Milton could have lost his leg, but doctors were able to save it and then eventually repair it. Now, he faces a lengthy rehab process, and it’s unclear whether he’ll play again.

On Wednesday, though, he shared an encouraging update. As you can see in the Instagram post below, Milton is now able to leg press 40 points with his injured knee:

If Milton is able to return to the field, he’s absolutely right — it will be one hell of a story. For now, though, he’s taking it one step at a time.

Hopefully we’ll see him on the gridiron again soon, but for now, we’ll settle for this positive update regarding his recovery.
