It’s been a rough offseason for Ole Miss fans. Hugh Freeze has stepped down and the cloud of NCAA investigation still hangs over the athletic department.

There were better times for the Rebels faithful in Oxford not too long ago. For a few months after Les Miles’ termination, Freeze was the only active SEC coach to have defeated Nick Saban twice.

The first of those two victories came on Oct. 4, 2014. It’s a day Ole Miss fans will never forget, though one fan has a unique member of the day – getting slammed to the ground by Saban’s police escort after he rushed the field.

The YouTube video title calls it a choke slam, some commenters prefer to call it a stiff arm. Either way, it was quite an impressive move by the officer to keep Saban safe.
