Saturday, August 24 might as well be Christmas morning.

College football fans woke up with a different attitude this morning, because the game we so dearly love is officially happening.

Fans didn’t have long to wait for the first touchdown of the season either.

Villanova and Colgate kicked off at 12:00 p.m. ET, and the first touchdown happened in the noon hour.

Villanova running back Jalen Jackson scored the first touchdown of the year on a screen pass from the quarterback. Here it is in all of its glory:

The Wildcats lead the Raiders 14-0 early in the second quarter.
