WATCH: West Virginia DB ejected for targeting after blatant cheap shot
One of the dirtiest hits you’ll see in 2018 happened just a bit ago in the Camping World Bowl.
West Virginia DB Kenny Robinson was flagged, and ejected, for targeting after this blatant cheap shot on Syracuse WR Taj Harris. While Harris is down on the ground, you can watch Robinson lead with his helmet for a spearing hit at Harris’ neck that pops his helmet off. On a hit this blatant, it’s no surprise that the referees did not need long to confirm obvious targeting.
Syracuse currently leads West Virginia 14-12 in the second quarter. The game can be viewed on ESPN.
