Where every SEC team stands in CBS Sports' updated 1-129 FBS rankings
The 2018 college football season is coming down to the wire now, and the contenders are continuing to separate themselves from the pretenders.
In the SEC, teams like Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida and Kentucky currently occupy the upper echelon, but even those ranks are sure to thin in coming weeks.
This week, CBS Sports updated its 1-129 rankings of every FBS program, and unsurprisingly, Alabama took the top spot. Here’s where each team currently stands:
- No. 1 — Alabama
- No. 5 — LSU
- No. 8 — Georgia
- No. 11 — Florida
- No. 15 — Kentucky
- No. 19 — Texas A&M
- No. 22 — Mississippi State
- No. 45 — South Carolina
- No. 48 — Mizzou
- No. 49 — Auburn
- No. 56 — Ole Miss
- No. 67 — Tennessee
- No. 83 — Vanderbilt
- No. 100 — Arkansas
There’s another crucial weekend of college football ahead of us, so check back next week to see where your favorite team stands.
We’re 49, we’re 49!!!
We’re 83! We’re 83!
There are 29 teams worse than us!!!!
I bet Ole Miss finishes 7th in the West even though Ole Miss beat Arkansas. I still believe Arkansas is better than Ole Miss. The only reason we beat y’all is because Boyd, Whaley, and Storey left the game. They’ll return. On the flip side, we just lost DK Metcalf for the season. Ole Miss is going to lose to Vandy, USC, Auburn, MS State. I’m pretty sure Arkansas will beat Vandy and Missouri.
So your are basically saying that even though your team cheats they are still the worst team in the West. Great coaching, huh.
Says the hypocrite whose team paid Lew Lewis. You do realize I’m going to keep slamming down the Lewis card as long as you want to play this game, right?
You will never win. Don’t you understand?
Our players don’t beat women
(The Leo Lewis card shuts him down every time)
You really confound me sometimes, we missed two gimme field goals. That makes the score 43-33 and covers the spread. We threw a deep ball into triple coverage that resorted in a touchdown. Get rid of that and it’s 43-26. You really look at a 5-2 team being worse than 1-6, even when the 5-2 just beat the 1-6 team on an utterly crap field in bad weather and the fans in favor of Arky? What are you smoking? We can sneak a win from Vandy guaranteed and go 6-6 at worst, Auburn is self destructing and we play them at home and they’re a field goal favorite only, plus we have momentum and they have anything but, not to mention im sure most Auburn fans want us to win so they can fire Gus Gus. Egg bowl anything can happen, Nick couldn’t get a completion to Calvin Ridley, (an exaggeration kind of) which means if they figure out how to stop the run then they can outscore em in a shootout. Big IF on stopping the run. How in the hell is Arkansas gonna stop Missouri offense? And Vandy stacks up well against them too so I really don’t get the ramblings of a madman you’re spiting here, doing worse doesn’t get you a first round draft pick like the NFL so why root for your team to do poorly? Did you put Money on Arkansas and lose or something!?
CBS can’t even figure out who #2 and #129 are much less everybody in between. No wonder these guys lose their jobs to women who dress for success. What they should predict are the next 129 of their peers who will get fired or a major cut in pay for writing zero stories with classic journalistic quality in them.
You should be happy. Most people would think Missouri would be below 80.
Exactly…. Way to high on Missouri.
