Junior BUCK Brad Johnson played through a groin injury in South Carolina’s first two games, but he’s unable to make it three games.

On his weekly radio show, Will Muschamp shared that Johnson will not be able to go on Saturday when the Gamecocks play No. 2 Alabama, per 247Sports. Muschamp did not give a timeline for how long Johnson could be out. The groin injury has been bothering him since training camp. Johnson has not registered any statistics in South Carolina’s first two games of the 2019 season.

Muschamp also noted that junior WR Randrecrous Davis will not play against the Crimson Tide. Davis has been on the injury report every week of the season so far. Muschamp said Davis might not return to action until after South Carolina’s bye week. The Gamecocks play Kentucky on Sept. 28 are then off Oct. 5 and play again on Oct. 12 at Georgia.

Muschamp had a positive update on defensive end Aaron Sterling, saying he could have played potentially played more in Week 2 and is “good” for Saturday, per The State.
