Frank Martin provides update on AJ Lawson's NBA Draft status
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is unclear when the 2020 NBA Draft will be held. However, it will take place at some point — that much is obvious.
The NBA will try to resume its season at some point next month, it seems, so we’ll see if things move quickly once that gets sorted out.
As for South Carolina star G AJ Lawson, he’s stuck in a sort of limbo. Will he return to school or stay in the draft class?
On Tuesday, Gamecocks coach Frank Martin spoke about Lawson, saying Lawson plans to be back on campus on June 29 when the Gamecocks begin the process of returning to the court:
Frank Martin: A.J. Lawson still has no decision on the NBA Draft (because the deadline has been pushed back).
"As of right now, our players are due back on campus on June 29 to start the testing, and his plan is to be here on June 29, unless something changes."

Of course, that doesn’t mean Lawson has reached a final draft decision, but if he can work out with his teammates, he might as well.
Lawson averaged 13.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game last season.
