Gamecocks' Williams-Brice Stadium alters its outside appearance
Williams-Brice Stadium, South Carolina’s concrete monstrosity along Bluff Road, received a much-needed facelift Thursday.
Facing Gamecock Park, an oversized garnet and black ‘Block C’ with a ‘Williams Brice Stadium’ nameplate was placed on the tallest tower of the West stands, replacing the venue’s previous black lettered-name which stood for several decades.
South Carolina’s won a nation-leading 18 straight games inside its 80-year-old digs and hosts Texas A&M on Aug. 28 to kickoff the SEC Network’s live football game coverage.
