GG Jackson, 5-star reclassifying power forward, announces SEC commitment
GG Jackson has made it official. Days after backing off his pledge to North Carolina, the Columbia native has announced he’s staying home to play for South Carolina.
As a class of 2023 prospect, Jackson was rated 5-stars, No. 1 power forward and No. 2 player overall on the 247Sports Composite. Jackson will be reclassifying to join the class of 2022 so he can play for Lamont Paris’ squad this season.
I will like to announce that I will be reclassifying to the class of 2022, committing to the University of South Carolina to further my career and education. NOW LETS HAVE FUN FAMS!🤙🏾🐔 #HometownHero

GG Jackson, arguably the best player in the country, is headed to play for this man at South Carolina. Huge pickup for new coach Lamont Paris — who looks pretty excited here in the gym at Peach Jam after hearing the news. pic.twitter.com/lVt5e0D8Nu
