Pharoh Cooper was having a decent preseason for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He even hauled in No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence’s first-ever NFL touchdown pass on this nice grab.

However, the NFL is a ruthless business, and cutting down rosters from 80+ players to 53 each preseason is never easy.

On Tuesday, the Jaguars revealed that the former South Carolina star was among the roster cuts ahead of Week 1 of the 2021 season.

Former Ole Miss star Laquon Treadwell was also released by the Jaguars on Tuesday.

During his time at South Carolina, Cooper impacted the game in many different ways. He scored 22 total touchdowns in 3 years and also contributed in the return game.

During his NFL career, Cooper has spent time with the Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers and the Jaguars. He made the Pro Bowl in 2017.
