Moments after South Carolina’s loss to Kentucky, 41-18, in Lexington, interim coach Mike Bobo was asked about the possibility of being on the staff of Shane Beamer, who is expected to be named the next coach of the Gamecocks, according to multiple reports.

Bobo told the media after the game that he hasn’t thought about it. His kids have asked if they’ll move again, and Bobo said the Good Lord will put them where they need to be.

“I haven’t thought about that or much thought about that. My kids have,” Bobo said, per Collyn Taylor.

Bobo said the game was another tough night for the Gamecocks, and he wished he could’ve given Kevin Harris the ball twice as much as they did. Harris had 21 carries for 210 yards and a touchdown.

Bobo said the SEC encouraged them to play this week even though the Gamecocks came in with very few players. Bobo also discussed what the players can learn from this season.

Bobo added that there’s a COVID test tomorrow, and he’s sure what next week brings. Finals and mandatory week off with finals.
