New South Carolina player already wearing Jamyest Williams’ No. 21 jersey

South Carolina DB Jamyest Williams decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal earlier this week, and it didn’t take long for his No. 21 jersey to find a new owner.
Per a report from The State, freshman DB Shilo Sanders — the son of NFL legend Deion Sanders — posted on his Instagram that he would be the new No. 21:
The freshman defensive back posted on his Instagram story “Big 21 is back” with a picture of the No. 21 with Sanders name on it. Shilo wore No. 21 in high school but wore No. 12 for the first four games of the USC season.
Deion wore No. 21 during his NFL career, and now it appears Shilo is following in his famous dad’s footsteps.
Sanders had worn No. 12 for the first few games of his Gamecocks career.
