Report: South Carolina losing key guard as graduate transfer
The South Carolina Gamecocks entered the offseason with a roster that was 1 player over the scholarship limit.
However, it appears that situation has taken care of itself, but it comes at a price. That’s because a key guard is leaving the team.
College basketball insider Jeff Goodman reported on Wednesday that Jair Bolden was leaving the Gamecocks to explore graduate transfer options:
South Carolina’s Jair Bolden will be leaving as a grad transfer, source told @stadium. Started career at GW, averaged 8.5 points last season.

The State has since confirmed with the school that Bolden is indeed expected to leave as a graduate transfer.
Bolden appeared in 30 games for the Gamecocks in 2019-20, starting 15 of them. He averaged 8.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest.
