The South Carolina Gamecocks’ men’s basketball team will be taking a trip abroad this upcoming season.
According to a report from NJ.com, the Gamecocks will head to Toronto to play a regular-season game on Saturday, Nov. 16.
Per the report, their opponent will come from the Big Ten — the Rutgers Scarlet Knights:
The Scarlet Knights will play South Carolina at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, Nov. 16 in a regular season game sponsored by the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame, according to a contract obtained by NJ Advance Media through an open records request.
This will be the first meeting between the two programs, and it’ll be a good chance for the Gamecocks to pick up a win over a major-conference program at the start of the year.
