Shane Beamer keeps close tabs on many stories around the SEC, and regarding Clemson. So it was no surprise that he kept up with the Monday night radio show by Dabo Swinney when he went into a lengthy rant about a fan named Tyler from Spartanburg.

When a reporter joked about another reporter being absent from the press conference because he was “caught up in Spartanburg,” Beamer shared a big smile and knew the exact reference.

“Even Phil (Kornblut’s) not here, I saw Phil was the star of Dabo’s press conference earlier as well,” Beamer said. “Jokes from the top row.”

Beamer said he feels for people who haven’t been a part of a team and don’t know what that’s like.

Beamer later added, “‘Proverbs was quite the theme for one of my friends in the Upstate last night, there’s a lot of that going on too,” and references Proverbs 18:2: “Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.”
