New offensive coordinator Mike Bobo’s addition to the staff at South Carolina has led to a sudden pipeline of players from Colorado State.

Fullbak Adam Prentice announced on Instagram that he would transfer to South Carolina. Bobo was the first to arrive, then QB Collin Hill, a South Carolina native, earlier transferred to Columbia. Prentice is the fifth player transfer from CSU following Bobo’s departure.

According to the Coloradoan, Prentice has one year of eligibility left.

The 6-foot, 236-pound back from Fresno, California, was considered one of the leaders of the football team. He was named one of 10 accountability team leaders and was also a captain as a junior. Prentice was CSU’s 2018 nominee for the Allstate/AFCA Good Works Team.

He had 18 rushing attempts for 65 yards and 18 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown in three seasons.

In his introductory press conference, Bobo was asked about using the fullback, something he did with Prentice, who acted as a second tight end as a former walk-on.

“I’m excited to see what this new opportunity brings,” Prentice wrote on Instagram.
