South Carolina lands commitment from 2018 JUCO DT Jabari Ellis

South Carolina fans have even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day, as the Gamecocks landed a commitment from 2018 JUCO DT Jabari Ellis.
The 6-2, 280-pound South Carolina native chose the Gamecocks over NC State in a commitment ceremony in Orangeburg.
Ellis played for Georgia Military College in 2016 and decided to head back to his home state for the 2017 campaign.

According to the 247Sports composite, Ellis is the No. 4 JUCO defensive tackle in the class of 2018 and the No. 1 overall JUCO recruit from the state of South Carolina.
Ellis is the Gamecocks’ 11th 2018 commit and is part of a class that ranked ninth in the SEC and 43rd nationally before his decision, per 247Sports.
