Shane Beamer and his staff had a very productive June for South Carolina on the recruiting trail. That momentum appears to be carrying over into July as the Gamecocks just landed another big commitment.

Hillgrove High School (Georgia) standout Emory Floyd announced his commitment to South Carolina on Saturday. He shared the news via his Twitter account. Floyd is listed at over 6-feet and 165 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 24 safety, No. 33 Georgia recruit and No. 355 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite.

Floyd’s other listed scholarship offers include Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee. After his official visit to South Carolina last weekend, Floyd told 247Sports that USC was one of his top schools with UF and UGA also in the mix.
