On Tuesday, it was reported that South Carolina RB Ty’Son Williams’ name had appeared in the NCAA Transfer Portal.

On Wednesday, the rising senior runner confirmed that news, officially announcing his intentions to transfer.

As you can see below, Williams took to Twitter on Wednesday night to thank the South Carolina coaches and say he’d play his last year of eligibility elsewhere:

Williams was used sparingly in 2018, running for 328 yards and four touchdowns. He ran for a career-high total of 471 yards in 2017.

Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but he’ll try to land some more playing time wherever he ends up next for his final year of college eligibility.
