Marcus Satterfield has reportedly landed a new job as offensive coordinator at Nebraska under new coach Matt Rhule. And with Satterfield gone from South Carolina, the Gamecocks are looking for his replacement.

The South Carolina offense had a tumultuous season, similar to the team overall, as fans called for Satterfield’s firing for much of the season until the Gamecocks upset Tennessee, and then Clemson.

Even with those performances, the Gamecocks are No. 9 in the SEC in total offense at 381 yards per game. In scoring offense, the Gamecocks are ranked No. 8 in the SEC at 31.7 points per game, following a 63-38 win over Tennessee, and a 31-30 win over Clemson.

Brad Crawford of 247Sports hass compiled a list of possible options, including Arkansas offensive coordinator Kendal Briles, Texas Tech offensive coordinator Zach Kittley, Appalachian State offensive coordinator Kevin Barbay and Wake Forest offensive coordinator Warren Ruggiero.

Texas Tech (23rd) and App State (26th) are the best units in this group in total offense, though all 4 offenses are in the top 30 in the country.

There’s also possible candidates in Texas passing game coordinator/wide Receivers coach Brennan Marion, USF offensive coordinator Travis Trickett and Brian Johnson, the quarterbacks coach with the Philadelphia Eagles.
