South Carolina got a nice surprise this offseason with the unexpected addition of quarterback Jake Bentley. The son of Gamecock assistant Bobby Bentley, Jake made the unusual move of bypassing his senior season of high school this offseason in order to enroll with the Gamecocks for this season.

Now an official member of the team after enrolling in school, Bentley posted this video Thursday showing off his impressive arm talent:

It would appear Bentley was standing 35 yards away from the goalpost but still managed to nail it head on – and on the first try without warming up according to the video.

The Gamecocks already have an Elite 11 participant on the roster in fellow true freshman Brandon McIlwain but despite not showing up for spring football, as McIlwain did, Bentley could possibly push for playing time as soon as this season in Columbia.
